Writings and Music

This is the least entertaining page on the website, so sorry to disappoint you.  What it might be some day is to give some details of the various things that I have produced within the entertainment realm.   To date I have written seven full-length screenplays and one teleplay.  All but two of them were at one time represented by literary agents, but I am currently agentless. Teleplay - Science Fiction Screenplay 1 - Historical Adventure Screenplay 2 - Historic Adventure Screenplay 3 - Science Fiction Screenplay 4 - Comedy Screenplay 5 - Horror Screenplay 6 - Fantasy Screenplay 7 - Science Fiction   To date I have written more pop songs than I can count, but it has to be something close to 125 (a few still with incomplete lyrics).  None of them have been recorded beyond the preliminary level.   To date I have written no novels, but this is a goal now that I am no longer writing screenplays.

Pet Projects

These are things that are done out of pure interest, to keep up certain activity when nothing professionally-based is otherwise being accomplished. Among other things, a couple of small pet projects that have been worked on: Re-edited version of Dune (1984): the effort here was to turn a box-office flop of a movie and rather quircky rendition of the grandiose novel into an enjoyable movie by purely concentrating on making the best movie possible by combining the Theatrical Version with the Television Version, into a final widescreen edition.  (Too bad all movies cannot be improved in this way.)  This version balances the narrative against audience attention, and comes in just under 2 hours duration.  This work has been completed, one copy exists, but cannot be posted or distributed for copyright reasons, although at some point a commentary track could be posted here. Re-writing of Star Wars episodes I-III: this effort began shortly after the release of The Phantom Menace in 1999, currently there is an outline that traces events from slightly before Episode 1 through to the end of Episode 6, although with no changes to episodes 4 and 5 and minor changes to episode 6.  Episodes 1-3 vary significantly from the theatrical versions, based more upon the suggestion of events in episodes 4-6, though still follow the overall plot flow.  Based upon my lack of knowledge of the greater part of the constructions that have come out of novels and gaming, it is going to offer an entirely new approach to the opening of the series.  Although these outlines could be developed into screenplays it seems that there is little value for the effort required until a suitable 100 million investment could be attained to complete the series.
